Westwood chooses West coast

Wednesday March 30th, 2011 Noted London designer Vivienne Westwood officially opened her first store in North America at 8320 Melrose Ave in Los Angeles. The Red carpet was studded with stars famously associated with the designer and hosted by Mad Men's Christina Hendricks who is the spokes model for Weswood's new line of jewlery.

Brulesque model Dita Von Teese was stunning in a black Westwood design complete with hat and lace gloves. Von Teese wore a one of a kind Vivienne Westwood gown in November 2005 when she married Marilyn Manson, who also attended the opening festivities. 

Additional stars on the red carpet were Kristin Davis, Lupe Fiasco, Kelis, Mischa Barton, and Lenora Claire. It was said that Westwood chose Los angeles over New York because Angelenos tend to take more fashion risks! The store houses all lines designed under the Westwood lable.
